In the process of defining and understanding our company, we much first present our vision for the future of Dispute Resolution overall from a historic, current state and future prospective. In general, this industry was first known as Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and included the practice of Mediation and Arbitration primarily. These two services were positioned initially as an ALTERNATIVE to the legal industry and were not really part of the legal industry itself.

Today, however, most professional mediation and arbitration services are part of and delivered by mediators and arbitrators who are either active or retired attorney’s and judges. So, ADR is no longer an ALTERNATIVE to the legal these services are delivered as part of dispute resolution in lawsuits primarily. In the early 2000’s the term Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) was introduced, most still today consider is video conferencing-based mediation and arbitration. It really never caught in until the Covid-19 Pandemic which closed most court services and the courts, and the legal profession gravitated toward video conferencing software solutions like Zoom ™ to perform court functionality. However, ODR as it was originally referred to as (we distance ourselves from both the terms ADR/ODR). In 2013, we published our own Dispute Resolution Methodology and processes: Technology-enhanced Dispute Resolution (TeDR).
